On a separate note, SmartPoint Research Vice President, Sam Rai, recently attended the MRIA QRD Annual Conference in Toronto. As always, it was great to connect with research colleagues and hear the many points of view on qualitative research in the market research industry.
Some of the topics covered at the conference included the need for qualitative recruiters to have panels. The idea of recruiting from ‘gen pop’ just doesn’t happen anymore. With this change that has gradually emerged in our industry over the last several years, there is also an increased need for quality control such as monitoring for professional respondents. This is the way that SmartPoint Research has been doing business for years. We have a large and continually growing market research panel that is used for finding high quality respondents. We have also implemented a number of standard panel monitoring practices such as double opt in, de-duping, monitoring and blocking of professional respondents and participation tracking per client so that a particular respondent does not get invited to participate in studies for the same client more than once.
Panel management software along with a collaborative team of project coordinators has made monitoring of respondents much more manageable for us in the last several years and we look forward to recruiting your qualitative studies for many years to come.
