TEDxGastownWomen Fearless Vancouver

The first ever TEDxWomen conference is happening in Vancouver, and SmartPoint Research is getting involved! At SmartPoint Research, we believe in supporting local events and our community. Therefore, we couldn’t miss out on being a part of the buzz and provide some much needed funding to help TEDxGastownWomen succeed.

The theme for TEDxGastownWomen is ‘fearless,’ and the event will take place on May 29, 2015 featuring a curated lineup of diverse speakers spanning industry, origin, age, and experience. The presentation will also feature a selection of simulcast segments of the TEDWomen event taking place in Monterey, California, on May 28. TEDWomen is about the power of women and girls to be creators and change-makers.

“TO ESCAPE FEAR, YOU HAVE TO GO THROUGH IT, NOT AROUND.” – RICHIE NORTON

Becoming a Partner

TEDx partners have the opportunity to engage in an authentic dialogue with an elusive yet valuable audience: passionate, open-minded people in your community. It takes a lot of resources to provide an event of this caliber and scope, and it could not be created without financial support and in-kind donations. To learn more about sponsorship opportunities, please contact the event organizers at TEDxGastownWomen@gmail.com.

About TED and TEDx Events

TED is a non-profit organization devoted to “Ideas Worth Spreading”. It started as a four-day conference in California 30 years ago, and has grown to support its mission with multitude of initiatives. TED conferences invite the world’s leading thinkers and doers to speak for 18 minutes or less. Many of these talks are then made available free at TED.com.

A TEDx event is a local gathering where live TED-like talks and videos previously recorded at TED conferences are shared with the community. TEDx events are locally planned and coordinated independently from TED. The content and design of each TEDx event is unique and developed with a common theme.
